EveryTrail Closes $1 Million Series A Round
Travel geotagging app developer GlobalMotion Media, Inc. has closed a $1 million series A round of funding. The company operates EveryTrail, an online community for GPS trip sharing (200,000 user-generated trips), and licenses its technology platform to corporate customers, such as REI (outdoor retail), Toyota, BF Goodrich, and Globalstar (for the SPOT locator product).

The Band of Angels participated in the A round along with a group of domestic and international private investors.

Joost Schreve, founder and CEO of the company explained to GPS Business News how he will be using the money he raised: "We will be mainly using the funding to further develop our online and mobile products. We are especially focused on creating a seamless user experience between web and mobile, since our users access EveryTrail both on the web and on their smart phones. Our unique differentiation is the ability for travelers to connect with EveryTrail while out on trips, and we intend to further build on that strength.”

“In addition to product development we are heavily focusing on marketing and business development. We are working on several new partnerships with established travel companies, as well as new and existing white label implementations."
