EVP of marketing left TomTom
TomTom executive vice president of Marketing Alex Batchelor is said to have left from the Dutch company according to UK-based publication Marketing Week. Alex Batchelor joined TomTom less than a year ago to “be responsible for managing the TomTom brand internationally and positioning the combination of TomTom’s products and services as the premier in-car navigation solution”, according to TomTom’s own corporate wording.
TomTom, contacted by GPS Business News, was not willing to comment on this story. Alex Batchelor, has been working for around 20 years in marketing and international brand management. His previous experiences include Orange (VP marketing global brand in 2002-2005), Interbrand (joint managing director in 1996-2002), Saatchi and Saatchi (1994-1996) and Unilever (1987-1994). Before joining TomTom he was marketing director at Royal Mail Group, in the United Kingdom. Thursday July 9, 2009
