Yesterday at a press conference, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai introduced the
Dalili Navigation System, a Mio-made Personal Navigation Device (PND) that is first to offer real-time traffic information in the Emirate.

The Dalili Navigation system is set to go on sale on October 15 at a cost of Dh1,599 and Dh1,699 (the latter with Bluetooth). The device features Tele Atlas map data with local 3D landmarks.

The traffic service leverage data from 8,000 cabs operating in the Emirate. The RDS TMC feed is broadcast by the Emirates Integrated Telecommunication Company (du) and the marketing of the product is made by IMS, the local exclusive reseller of Mio products.
