Since the acquisition of Telmap by Intel the company is looking closely at user experiences that might be enabled across platforms such as Notebook and Smartphone, the "continuum computing" as they call it.
This year at Mobile World Congress Telmap is showing up a beta version of an event planning app that links local event data (from WCities ) to social platforms and ultimately to a mobile component.
With the relationships of Intel with Notebook manufacturers Telmap is looking at using this Windows 8 app as a traffic generation tool to their mobile offering.
