CES: Audiovox Wants to Track your Car, your Pet and even your Kids & Aging Parents
At the CES trade show in Las Vegas this week Audiovox Electronics Corp. unveiled three new products that offer GPS tracking and monitoring to three specific segments: cars, pets and aging people with Alzheimer disease.
Car Connection' is a plug in On-Board Diagnostic (OBDII) device that will allow consumers to monitor, manage and maintain not only their own and other family drivers habits, but also vehicle performance and maintenance. It is a DIY solution that easily plugs into the vehicle's OBDII port, withotu need of a professional installation.

‘Care Connection' is a wearable personal tracking system that features two way voice communication that will help secure, protect and locate young children, teen drivers and aging parents.
'Tagg-The-Pet' Tracker developed by Qualcomm's subsidiary Snaptracs, a Company, gives the consumer peace of mind by letting them know their pet's location at any time and set up alarms triggered by geo-fences. These systems will utilize Sprint's wireless network for connectivity and will be available in the first quarter of 2012; no pricing has been communicated at this stage. Wednesday January 11, 2012
