Bill Lucey (Tele Atlas) joins LBS consulting firm
Bill Lucey, previously Global Director of Product Management for Enhancement Products at Tele Atlas, has joined Location Based Strategy, LCC, a small LBS consulting firm specializing in content brokerage and location-aware product consulting.

At Tele Atlas Bill Lucey was responsible for products which interface with the core map and enhance the user experience: Points of Interest (POIs), Address Points, Voice Maps, 2D & 3D City Maps, 3D Landmarks, Landmark Icons, Pedestrian Maps, Logistics, Digital Elevation Model and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) attribution.

Prior to Tele Atlas Bill Lucey worked for Honeywell International as the Director of Intellectual Property licensing for their Automation and Control Solutions Division from 2002 through 2005. There he oversaw the licensing and enforcement of technology patents and licensed the Honeywell trademark.

He started his career at Honeywell in 1995 as an Engineer in Residence at joint-venture partner Mitsubishi Electric in Himeji, Japan and then held the position of Business Manager for Sensing and Control’s Asian Automotive Sensor business where he was in charge of Asian product management and business development. Bill Lucey holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology from the University of Wisconsin – Platteville and an MBA from the University of Dubuque.
