Autodesk extends contract with Tele Atlas

At the CTIA trade show in San Francisco this week Tele Atlas and Autodesk have announced a multi-year license agreement whereby Autodesk will use Tele Atlas maps and dynamic content in more than 200 countries and territories worldwide.

Since 2003, Tele Atlas and Autodesk have collaborated to enable powerful location-based services (LBS) and applications. Today, Autodesk-powered applications featuring Tele Atlas digital map data and content span the enterprise and consumer wireless arenas, such as Vodafone’s Mensa-Red Localización (fleet tracking in Spain) and Jumptap’s mobile search deployments with wireless operators.

In addition, Autodesk is joining the Tele Atlas LBS Innovators Series as a Diamond sponsor for the ongoing program held in conjunction with Tele Atlas DeveloperLink. The series fosters innovation and helps application developers increase their visibility, credibility and success.
