Chinese LBS and digital map content provider AutoNavi today announced that its premium turn-by-turn navigation application has been pre-installed on Samsung's new flagship smartphone, the GALAXY S III, which was officially launched in China last week.
“In addition to map data, 3-D views and real-time traffic information, AutoNavi's app includes customized features for the GALAXY S III, including a map layer of Samsung designated points-of-interest, user archives of favorite places, city-specific functions, smart search features, and mobile positioning through GPS, cell towers, and Wi-Fi.
All three major Chinese wireless carriers: China Mobile, China Telecom and China Unicom are involved in the GALAXY S III launch.
