Ask Mobile GPS: U.S. off-board nav under $2
With not much fuss IAC launched last week in the United States a new version of its navigation application, Ask Mobile GPS, for Blackberry at $1.99 per month.

Initially launched in May 2007, Ask Mobile GPS blends GPS navigation and friend finder with the mobile version of its internet services Ask.com, Evite (invitation), and Citysearch (local search). But at launch – and still today - the application for Sprint phones costs $9.99. With the standalone GPS of the Blackberry IAC gets rid of the operator costs for GPS and is able to lower its price down to $1.99 per month, about one fifth the price consumers pay for Telenav or VZ Navigator.
