Antenova raises $6.5M to expand antenna module business
Antenova Ltd, a UK-based company selling integrated antenna and RF modules, announced today that it has received $6.5 million investment to accelerate the growth and expansion of its antenna modules business. The new capital infusion was lead by Azini Capital Partners. Other major investors who participated in the funding include existing shareholders SPARK Ventures, First Ventures, Herald Ventures LP and Loudwater Investment Partners.

Greg McCray, CEO, Antenova said, “This additional investment will allow Antenova to accelerate the development of the RADIONOVA range of RF antenna modules and enable us to offer more customers a broader range of wireless applications, chipsets and form factors to best suit their device requirements”.

“Antenova’s patented HDA® antennas can be found in a growing number of handsets from 4 of the 5 top handset OEMs, including Motorola and Samsung”, added McCray. “DATANOVA antennas can be found in light weight mobile broadband enabled notebook computers from Dell and HP; and GPS RADIONOVA is experiencing unprecedented success in the number and breadth of applications.”

Antenova’s GPS RADIONOVA® M10214-A1 RF Antenna Module is the world’s first single package solution to combine RF and passive antenna on the same module. It is optimized for the SiRFstarIII GPS architecture.
