Aha (HARMAN) Target Western Europe with In-car Infotainment Service
Aha, a business unit of in-car infotainment vendor HARMAN, announced today at the Geneva Motor Show the beginning of its services in Western Europe by the end of the year.

Aha provides web content under a radio format suitable for in car consumption without distracting the driver.

Traffic provider Inrix and travel content supplier TripAdvisor have both reached agreement with Aha to deliver European-based content to the platform. Until now Aha had developed content partnerships in North America in addition to non-branded, free to download content such as internet radio, podcasts, twitter and facebook newsfeeds.

One might however expect more local content before the service is launched to suit local European taste, at least a couple of partnerships for each key market.

Aha was founded in 2008 in Palo Alto, California and was acquired by Harman International in September 2010. The company is currently working with five car makers, including Honda and Subaru, who will be launching model 2013 vehicles with consumer services based on Aha's platform.
