ALK offers navigation on Android phones
Mobile navigation and transportation software editor ALK Technologies today announced that its turn-by-turn navigation software CoPilot Live is now available for Android-based mobile phones. It can be purchased and downloaded immediately from Android Market for devices such as HTC Magic, T-Mobile G1 and the new HTC Hero.

The full version of CoPilot Live is available for £25.99 for UK and Ireland maps and £59.99 for all Europe. The software features a range of CoPilot ‘Live’ services, including real-time traffic alerts, 5-day weather forecast information and a new location sharing service called CoPilot LiveLink which allows users to share their location with friends using CoPilot.

CoPilot is the second navigation software made available to the Android platform after TeleNav launched its application for the T-Mobile G1 in the United States.

downloaded, installed in a record time. Awesome application, it works perfectly. Sounds far more impressive than any of the Tomtom and Mio's application

ALK customers support sucks, My fully registered Co-pilot 7 stopped working nearly 2 weeks ago, After contacting ALK they show no interest at all in helping me out ! they rather blaming my network provider ! very disappointed.
