ABI Forecasts 16.3m PND Shipments in the US in 2010
According to an article in TWICE (This Week in Consumer Electronics), ABI Research expects 16.3 million Personal Navigation Devices to be sold in 2010 in the United States, a number similar to 2009, while the average selling price is decreasing by 9.6 percent to represent a total revenue of $3.1 Billion.

The decrease is less than the previous year (-12.2%), it can be easily explained by the consolidation of the market operated by Garmin and TomTom and the exit of smaller players competing on price.
